Antimicrobial
Air Duct Cleaning
HVAC Cleaning by Capital Clean Air
Maintaining a clean and efficient HVAC system is essential for indoor air quality and energy efficiency. At Capital Clean Air, we provide thorough HVAC cleaning to eliminate dust, allergens, and microbial growth, ensuring your system operates at peak performance.
Step 1: Comprehensive System Inspection
Before cleaning, we conduct a detailed inspection of your HVAC system, identifying problem areas such as dust accumulation, mold growth, or airflow obstructions. This step ensures we address all contamination sources effectively.
Step 2: Deep Cleaning of HVAC Components
We begin by disassembling accessible HVAC components to perform a deep, thorough cleaning. Our process includes:
- Removing dust, debris, and mold from air ducts, coils, blower motors, and drip pans.
- Applying a safe, EPA-approved antimicrobial treatment to eliminate bacteria and fungal growth.
- High-efficiency HEPA vacuuming to extract contaminants without redistributing them into the air.
Step 3: Coil & Vent Sanitization
Coils are critical to HVAC efficiency, yet they often collect dust and microbial buildup. We treat them with an enzyme-based cleaner that breaks down contaminants while preserving system integrity. Vents and registers are also cleaned and sanitized to prevent airborne pollutants.
Step 4: Airflow Optimization & Final System Check
After cleaning, we reassemble components, conduct a post-cleaning airflow test, and ensure all areas are properly sanitized. Our technicians verify that your HVAC system maintains optimal efficiency, reducing strain on your unit and improving air quality.
By investing in professional HVAC cleaning, you enhance indoor comfort, reduce energy costs, and extend the lifespan of your equipment

Professional Mold Remediation Services
Mold Remediation by Capital Clean Air
Mold growth can compromise indoor air quality and pose serious health risks. At Capital Clean Air, we provide professional mold remediation, eliminating microbial contamination while preventing future recurrence.
Step 1: Mold Assessment & Containment
We begin with a thorough inspection to determine the extent of mold growth and its causes. Once identified, we create a controlled work area, using negative air pressure and containment barriers to prevent mold spores from spreading.
Step 2: Removal & Cleaning Process
We use a multi-step cleaning approach to eradicate mold from affected surfaces:
- Applying an eco-friendly hydrogen peroxide solution to disinfect contaminated materials.
- Brushing and wiping down surfaces to physically remove visible mold colonies.
- HEPA vacuuming and air scrubbing to eliminate airborne spores.
Step 3: Structural Drying & Moisture Control
Moisture control is key to preventing future mold growth. We implement:
- Advanced drying techniques using industrial-grade dehumidifiers.
- Sealing cracks and gaps to prevent moisture intrusion.
- Installing vapor barriers when needed to protect vulnerable areas.
Step 4: Post-Remediation Testing & Prevention Strategies
After remediation, we perform air quality testing to verify mold levels are safely reduced. We also provide preventative recommendations, such as improving ventilation, humidity control, and routine inspections.
With professional mold remediation, your indoor environment becomes healthier, safer, and moisture-free, ensuring long-term protection.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
At Capital Clean Air, we specialize in comprehensive crawl space cleaning and encapsulation to improve indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and moisture control.
Step 1: Insulation Removal & Surface Preparation
We begin by removing all existing insulation from the subfloor. Once removed, we safely hazmat-contain and dispose of the insulation outside the home. Next, we treat all exposed framing with Hydrogen Peroxide Serum 1000, an eco-friendly solution that breaks down into water and nitrogen, making it safe for the environment.
Since wood is porous, hydrogen peroxide penetrates deep into the material, disinfecting, sanitizing, and drawing out embedded enzymes. After spraying, we physically scrub and remove all visible mold and microbial colonization using rags and brushes.
Step 2: Vapor Barrier Installation
After cleaning, we remove the existing vapor barrier and install a new 16-mil Viper CS vapor barrier with one-foot overlays. We secure all seams using Viper CS 10-mil vinyl tape, ensuring the barrier remains a single, immovable sheet.
To prevent moisture from wicking up through the foundation, we extend the vapor barrier 16 inches up the foundation walls and wrap all columns accordingly.
Step 3: Foam Board Insulation
We install 1.5-inch R-10.5 Atlas EnergyShield insulation foam board along the interior foundation walls. Unlike traditional bat insulation, this method utilizes the entire airspace, significantly improving energy efficiency for both your home and HVAC system.
Additionally, we seal all breaches in the subfloor and foundation walls, ensuring an airtight environment.
Step 4: Dehumidification & Final Sealing
To maintain optimal humidity levels, we install a Santa Fe Compact 70 commercial-grade dehumidifier on a dedicated outlet and breaker. The unit is hard-lined for drainage and fully automated, keeping moisture levels stable.
Further, we:
- Seal window wells from the inside using 1.5-inch foam board.
- Insulate the crawl space door for added protection.
- Conduct an antimicrobial wipe-down of all wires, HVAC systems, and plumbing.
With this thorough encapsulation process, your crawl space becomes a clean, dry, and energy-efficient environment, protecting both your home and health.

Kudos to Dan and his staff! Everyone was wonderful to work with. The service was outstanding and exactly what our house needed. Don’t be fooled by companies claiming to provide this service for $129. This is a professional and comprehensive service that removes the organic spores in your system. The value is well worth it!

This company was great! They came in and Dan explained everything that would be happening during the air duct cleaning process. He and his team took before and after photos, which was great! His team was super nice as well. They even cleaned the filter covering, which I have tried to do with no success. They were truly a great company to have come in and clean these air ducts! I will 100% use them again and recommend them in the future.
